- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 2 jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped
Directions
Venison Chili:
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
- Add ground venison to the pot, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned.
- Mix in carrots and bell pepper, cooking for 5 minutes until slightly softened.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato paste, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
Jalapeno Cornbread:
