- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste

Directions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

- Season the mixture with chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer uncovered for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chili thickens and the flavors meld together.
