Serving Size

  • This recipe serves 6 people.

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

  1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Chicken: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Make the Sweet Heat Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chili flakes.
  3. Brown the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large, oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs skin-side down and cook until the skin is golden and crispy, about 5 minutes. Flip the thighs over and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Glaze the Chicken: Brush the Sweet Heat glaze over the chicken thighs. Reserve some glaze for basting.
  5. Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the juices run clear. Baste with the remaining glaze halfway through cooking.
  6. Garnish & Serve: Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
